Rafa Nadal has been trimmed from 8/11 to 4/6 to win the French Open following the withdrawal of Andy Murray. The French Open is perhaps Murray’s worst slam, he had been a 20/1 shot.
William Hill believe the move is very much with Wimbledon in mind. Murray is the 5/2 second favourite, behind Djokovic, to lift the famous trophy.
“It looks like a sensible move as Andy has a far better chance of winning in London than he does in Paris,” said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.
William Hill odds:
French Open: 4/6 Nadal, 7/4 Djokovic, 16/1 Federer, 20/1 del Potro, 25/1 Ferrer, 25/1 Gulbis, 40/1 Berdych, 50/1 Dimitrov, 66/1 Tsonga, 66/1 Almagro, 66/1 Wawrinka, 100/1 others
Wimbledon: 2/1 Djokovic, 5/2 Murray, 4/1 Nadal, 9/2 Federer, 25/1 Tsonga, 25/1 del Potro, 50/1 Dimitrov, 50/1 Janowicz, 50/1 Raonic, 50/1 Berdych, 66/1 Tomic, 66/1 Ferrer, 66/1 Gulbis, 66/1 Isner, 100/1 others
