William Hill have pushed out the price of Andy Murray winning the Australian Open from 6/1 to 8/1 following a harsh draw that could pitch him against both Roger Federer & Rafa Nadal before qualifying for the final.
The draw could not have been better for Novak Djokovic who his odds on at 5/6 from even money.
“The draw has been very tough for Andy and couple that with his recent injury, it is hard to see him making the final,” said William Hill spokesman Rupert Adams.
The good news for Andy is he should be able to ease his way into the tournament as he is 1/100 to win his first match and 100/1 to win without dropping a game.
Serena Williams is the 4/6 favourite to win the Women’s title, with Azarenka 5/1 and Sharapova 10/1.
